SkySpa - Relaxation at the Highest Level

From May to August, we guarantee a relaxing end to each of your vacation days. Our small SkySpa area on the rooftop terrace of the Dependance is a place of relaxation with beautiful views.

Let your gaze wander over the landscape of South Tyrol’s Unterland region all the way to Bolzano from the whirlpool. Enjoy timeless moments in the relaxation room, sunsets, heat and water treatments, and more.

Lake Kaltern

Located just 4.5 kilometers from Markushof, Kalterer See can be easily reached by bike. South Tyrol's warmest swimming lake, reaching a temperature of 28°C in the height of summer, delights with its diverse colors. The water reflects shades of deep blue and green. Whether with a pedal boat, water paddle, sailboat, or windsurfing gear, water lovers will be happy here.

With four bathing establishments, restaurants, and parking spaces along its shores, Kalterer See is a popular meeting point for locals and visitors. A marked circular hiking trail around the lake invites you to walk, jog, or bike. A must-see during your South Tyrol vacation.

The Monticolo Lakes

Located in the heart of the Monticolo Nature Reserve with its stunning mixed forest at 492 meters above sea level, the Monticolo Lakes can be reached by car in 20 minutes from Markushof. Alternatively, combine your lake adventure with a bike tour. Discover the wildlife of the biotope along the hiking path around the lakes, and find cozy spots to cool off and relax.

The small Monticolo Lake attracts with its small-scale bathing area, sunbathing lawn, and a cozy snack station, while the rest is freely accessible for nature lovers. On the shore of the large Monticolo Lake, the Lido Monticolo awaits with a welcoming pool bar and restaurant.

Lake Favogna

A hidden gem in Unterfennberg, Lake Favogna is surrounded by more than 35 orchid species, crayfish, and other wildlife. Although the lake is a protected biotope with unusual flora and fauna, a small pier offers access for swimming fun. Accessible by car, bike, or hiking trails, the plateau also offers numerous opportunities for walking and biking.

Lake Colle

Located in Aldino, the Lake Colle is like a fairy tale, nestled in the forest. Nearby panoramic viewpoints like Rotwand and Burgstalegg offer stunning views of South Tyrol’s Unterland and the entire Etschtal valley. The lake is accessible by a 30-minute hike from the fire station in Aldino via the hiking trail No. 17b. A combination of bathing and hiking pleasure.
